CodeRage 4 replays are up

Come get'em here!

Enjoy! :)

  1. As with CodeRage III, we shall enjoy replays only after somebody upload them on the decent server. CodeGear don't care the replays cannot be downloaded.

  2. Serg,

    I succeeded in downloading one of the replay zip files with efficiency. To succeed I right clicked on the link and selected "Save Target As.." and it worked well. The replays are *.zip s and you have to unpack them in order to play. Hope this helps

  3. A couple of sessions that I want to download don't have links available:

    * RAD Studio Product Address
    * Audits & Metrics
    * Dive Deep: Developer UML

    They're all by Michael Rozlog.

    Also, this link IS available, but every time I try to get it, I get a message saying I don't have permission to download it:

    * Seven Deadly Sins of Designing Databases

    Other than those problems, I was able to download the sessions that I wanted.

    They're going to be my lunchtime entertainment for the next few weeks.

    Thank you!

  4. Chris, I second that. I was able to download one presentation and get time outs on others, and as well some sessions of interest do not have links. I am going to assume that the server is overwhelmed, so will try back later on in the week too.

  5. Further to my previous posts, another possible improvement for these presentations would be to have some kind of transport control, so you could pause or rewind the flash video in the event that you are forced away from the presentation. Respectfully

  6. @serg - if I didn't care about you downloading them, I wouldn't have put them up for download. if you only tried viewing them you should probably download the zip files and view offline. it depends a lot on your bandwidth what your streaming pleasure will be like.

    @chris - Mike's sessions need to be re-rendered, that's why they're not up yet. stay tuned. i'll have to look at the seven sins one. thanks.

    @nicole - thanks for the feedback on the player, we'll try to make it better.

  7. @Anders - sorry for being impolite, but the problem is YOUR banwidth, not mine.
    And you had the same problem with Coderage 3 recordings.
    Why the connection problems on your servers is a surprise for you?
    Why you can't put the recordings on proper servers from the very beginning and not wait for angry messages?

  8. What cheap hosting does such a big company use?

  9. @Anders, what is with the NOT AUTHORIZED response that I am receiving on some of the presentations, such as the FireBird one? Thanx

  10. How about a mega movie download so that we can download them all in one go - I'll probably watch most of them (atleast the ones related to Delphi), so having a zip of the lot would save me heaps of effort (right click download, right click download, ......)

  11. @Anders, I am having the same problems as several other people with the downloads, and I have been talking to others also with the same problems.
    I have very good bandwidth on my end, but several of the downloads are corrupting. Trying many times (5 or 6 times) sometimes ends up with a good result. Also several of the sessions result in a NOT AUTHORIZED response as Nicole has been saying. (for example, from Tuesday "Delivering Delphi Applications as Appliances" and "Audio, Video & Signal Processing in Delphi" do this. More from other days.)
    I really think there may be a problem on your end.

  12. @Alister: I would second your request about a "mega download", except I am having so much trouble downloading small (20MB to 40MB) files from the server, I expect it would be impossible to get a 2.5GB file with any reliability.

  13. I was able to download the "seven deadly sins" video today.

    Thanks for fixing that.

  14. I downloaded 29 of the presentations today, all without problem. I'll be looking forward to seeing Michael Rozlog's presentations as well, when they're ready/.

    Congrats and thanks to the CodeGear gang for making these valuable presentations possible and available!
