    I actually forgot about that one. I did some custom hacking in that one. I'll clean it up and post it. Probably next week.

    Brent, I'll post that as an update. I haven't got it working flawlessly yet. It's more of a hack using Capture/MouseDown/MouseUp/MouseMove etc.

    hi
    i tried your fishfact demo i am getting this run time error in the simulator

    An unhandled exception occurred at $0005506B :EStringListError : List index (0) out of bounds

    You need to add the SQLite file and the fish PNGs to the Xcode project on the Mac side.

    I added the files to the SOURCE in the xcode project (not folder) along with the pas file that are automatically added and it worked :) thanks

    Just some feedback in regard to the "Local File I/O in IOS" example, this is probably an issue with the TMemo but if you hold down the delete key the application crashes on my IPAD.

    I take it in english, in the Datasnap sample i rewrote it to use MySQL instead, and made an application in iOS. But Im having big problem to use try except in iOS?
    Cant find any example in exceptions??
    If i type wrong port or IP in the iOS app. It just crashes??
    I have only tried in the simulated iPhone and iPad, but it should work there too?
    So my question, what to use for exceptions in iOS? if not try except works?

    Thanks for a good blog!

    I have used Delphi since it was first released in 1995 and I am trying to learn FireMonkey to write for iOS. I dowloaded several of your example programs and they compile fine on the Windows side, but when I export them to XCode and try to compile them in in XCode, I get an error "Command /bin/sh failed with exit code 1".

    I am using XCode version 3.2.5 (64 bit) compiling to iPhone similator 4.2.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Glenn, I need more details. Usually the real error message is buried pretty far down in the output from Xcode.

    Thanks Anders. I looked further into the error output and found that Xcode doesn't like folders that include a space in the name. Took the space out of the folder name and it worked great!

    when i put the file i/O Demo on my iPhone(iOS 5.0.1) the app doesn't load(just the loading screen of Firemonkey)

    I have been trying to compile the demo FMX_EMail on the Mac with no changes to your code. The app complies with no errors, but when I click the SEND button, nothing happens.

    Do you have any guidance on what I can look at to see whats going on?

    @Robert: Email doesn't work on the simulator. You have to run it on a device with email configured.

    By any chance have you tried any bluetooth and serial tests ?
    I made an app for Android (wish it was Delphi) and i need to make the same on for IOS so im checking here first :)
