"Sun Microsystems shares climbed as much as 17 percent Friday as the company reached a landmark settlement with rival Microsoft that will give Sun almost $2 billion".

"Our customers said, 'Stop the noise and start the collaboration'", McNealy said at a press conference in San Francisco. "There's nothing that would upset us if it resulted in customers buying more Sun and Microsoft products."
