TSmiley to be included in next release of Delphi!

You heard it here first!

TSmiley will finally, after 11+ years, get the place it deserves - the default component whether you program in Delphi for Win32, Delphi for .NET, C++Builder or C#Builder. It might even be ported to Java.

OK, maybe not, but I'm sure this will be brought up at the Core Team meetings in the future now that Nick Hodges has taken on the role as Delphi Product Manager.

We won't go Lex Luthor on y'all

Gavin Clarke (Reg developer) attended Tod Nielsen's keynote this morning at EclipseCon 2006, and wrote the following article - Borland CEO promises to find a caring investor

My favorite quote from the article:

Nielsen told the annual EclipseCon show in Santa Clara: "Its my commitment to find an investor who will invest in the business and drive it forward. I'm not looking for someone who is a Lex Luthor or the Evil Empire who will destroy the business. That's going to reflect badly on Borland."
